Overview
TW Design and Manufacturing is a full service CNC machine
shop, comprised of a highly skilled work force, machinery,
tooling and fixtures that are state of the art, and a
quality control function that is very well equipped to
monitor the dimensions specified on our customer's drawings.
We are dedicated to quality and on-time delivery of precision
CNC milled and turned parts. The facility is located in
a 36,500 square foot building in south central Wisconsin,
approximately 50 miles north of Madison.
Whether it is a small quantity, service or prototype part
that calls for a quick turnaround, a large volume blanket
order with KANBAN releases, or a temporary outsourcing
caused by an overflow demand on your in-house machining
or current supplier, we have the experience and dedication
to get the job done.
The shop is equipped with a variety of over 30 machines
that provide the ability to schedule each part to the
machine(s) that will result in the most accurate and cost
effective means to produce the part depending on size,
configuration, tolerance, and run size. It also provides
the flexibility to accommodate short lead times when required.
Many of the machines have been arranged in cells to allow
for cost savings, shorter lead times, and consistently
high quality.
Materials machined include stainless steel, carbon steel,
hot rolled and cold rolled steel, structural steel, alloy
steel, cast iron, ductile iron, brass, copper, aluminum,
and plastic. In addition to our in-house capabilities,
we work with a wide variety of secondary vendors to provide
heat treat, grinding, welding, painting, plating, and
anodizing services when required.
In July of 2000, the Small Business Administration certified
TW Design and Manufacturing, LLC as a qualified HUBZone
small business concern (SBC) www.sba.gov/hubzone.
We achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification in May
of 2003.
As part of our continual improvement journey, we have
contracted with Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership
(WMEP) www.wmep.org for the last four years. During that time period
they have worked with us in the development of a lean
manufacturing culture, set-up reduction, 5S, and value
stream mapping.
Please accept our open invitation to visit TW Design and
Manufacturing, tour the shop and learn how your company
can benefit from the progress we have made.
Thank you in advance, for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
John L. Whitver
President
